We are so excited to welcome two incredibly talented and wonderful individuals, Shuyi Guan and Pan Chen, as Landscape Design Interns for the Summer of 2021.

Shuyi is passionate about creating landscapes that support healthy and enriching communities for humans and non-humans alike. Her project was shortlisted in the 2020 World Landscape Architecture competition, Reimagining the Spaces In Between. She is a master’s candidate in the Landscape Architecture program at RISD with an anticipated graduation date of 2022, and a BLA from Beijing Forestry University.

Pan is deeply interested in resilient and perceptually rich landscape projects across multiple scales. She won the 2020 ASLA Student Honor Award in the Urban Design category for her project, Cooling Down, and was the 2021 National Olmsted Scholar from the RISD Landscape program.
