The Jackalope

Alchemy served as the underlying conceptual theme for Willow Creek vineyard’s make-over. This project is an enchanting blend of art and immersive nature. Emily Floyd’s 30-foot tall jackalope sculpture serves as an unmistakable landmark at the entry of the hotel and vineyard grounds. The landscape is a series of gardens themed on alchemical transformation marked by a material palette of matte black steel, epei timber, gold faceted feature walls, and fragrant native Australian vegetation. The highlight of the program is the 100-foot long infinity pool that offers panoramic views of the productive vineyard landscape.

Landscape design for a boutique hotel and restaurant at the willow creek winery on the Mornington Peninsula in Australia. I was a key contributor to the design and documentation of this project while a designer at TCL in Melbourne, Australia in 2015. Work completed while at TCL.
